Producer-Host 

Wes has produced and hosted his music/interview show, "Wes Houston Presents..." since 2000.  The show has won two awards from the Alliance for Community Media, Northeast Region"In recognition of outstanding video production in the category of performing arts".

TV Show First Place Award 

Again, in 2015, Wes Houston host/producer of his music/interview show, "Wes Houston Presents..."  won the First Place award from the Alliance for Community Media, Northeast Region, for a featured performance by "The Feinberg Brothers" a Long Island based bluegrass band.

Award Winning TV Show 

October 2014, Wes Houston host/producer of his music/interview show, "Wes Houston Presents..." has won a third award from the Alliance for Community Media, Northeast Region, for a featured performance by "The Wes Houston Trio" which was a rare opportunity for Wes to perform on his own show.

4Village Studio "Friend of the Studio" Award 

4Village Studio bestowed their highest honor on Wes Houston -- "Lifetime Friend of the Studio" -- for his outstanding contribution to music programming for the studio.

Guitarist - Bandleader 

Wes Houston has led his own band - THE WES HOUSTON BAND - a group of talented musicians - for over 30 years. In the late '60s/early '70s he was the guitarist/bandleader for Sis Cunningham (of the Almanac Singers), Rev. Fredrick Douglas Kirkpatrick and songwriters Mike Millius and Elaine White.

Long Island Sound Award (L.I.S.A.) 

In a ceremony held in October of 2008 at the Brookhaven Amphitheatre on Long Island, Wes Houston was recognized by the Long Island Music Hall of Fame for his lifetime contribution to the musical heritage of Long Island.

Recording Artist 

Wes Houston was recorded for legendary Folkways Reords. He was featured on the Grammy-nominated/award winining Smithsonian Institute's "Best of Broadside" boxed set. Wes has also produced numerous Wes Houston Band independent label recordings.

Performing Artist 

In his long career Wes has performed with Son House, Rev. Gary Davis, Dixie Dregs, Vassar Clements, Buzzy Linhart, Pete Seeger, Charlie Daniels, Mitch Ryder, Phil Ochs, Richie Havens, Five Dollar Shoes and James Cotton, among others.

4Village Studio in Floral Park, Long Island, where Wes records his award winning cable TV music show, acknowledged him as their Host-Producer of the Year in 2004.
